2027 Annual Meeting

Southern Society of Endocrinologists
The Southern Society of Endocrinologists (SSE) serves as the official voice and representative body for specialized physicians across our regional chapter and works to elevate patient care standards for endocrine disorders. As an independent organization, the SSE no longer requires affiliation with the Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE).
SSE is a membership organization for endocrinologists dedicated to quality, safety, and awareness in the delivery endocrine disease and related disorders, and serving as a resource for the development of policy concerning endocrine disease.
The Society provides educational opportunities for its members and hosts an annual meeting each spring.
With over 100 member endocrinologists, the SSE represents it’s members through all stages of their career. These members represent all geographic areas of the states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
SSE’s Stance
Southern Society of Endocrinologists fully support the 2026 AACE Statement on Testosterone Screening. Patient care must be individualized, evidence-based, and focused on rigorous clinical diagnosis rather than universal screening thresholds. We agree that hormone health protocols should target those showing genuine clinical need to prevent overdiagnosis and ensure proper medical guardrails remain in place
