Get Involved in SSE as a Fellow
SSE offers a tailored membership tier for fellows, that provides incredible networking advantages and professional visibility for those who specialize in endocrine disease. Joining gives you an exclusive insider look at the field, including the unique opportunity for fellows to serve a one-year term on the Board of Directors as the Fellow-in-Training Representative. While resident members do not hold voting privileges or committee seats, every in-training member gains the essential mentorship and connections needed to thrive.
Interested in a presentation opportunity?
The Southern Society of Endocrinologists (SSE) invites fellows and residents to submit their current research endeavors and interesting clinical cases for presentation at our upcoming Annual Meeting. This event offers an excellent networking platform for young physicians to connect with endocrinology specialists from practices throughout Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Alongside trainee presentations, the meeting features nationally recognized speakers delivering insights on a wide array of clinical and basic science topics in endocrinology and metabolism.
Submission Guidelines: To participate, please complete the online abstract submission form. Every application must include a definitive title, a brief project description, a statement explaining the significance of the work to the field of endocrinology, and complete author contact information. Please note that the primary author of all submitted abstracts must be a fellow or a resident.
Trainee Awards and Recognition: Primary authors of the top three accepted abstracts will receive a travel stipend.
The deadline for submitting abstracts for the 2027 Annual Meeting is December 10, 2026. If you have any questions regarding your submission or our upcoming Annual Meeting, please contact SSE Director, Rana Ragland at southernendocrine@mdmemphis.org.
